A once a year event, this seminar will be held at our Adirondack training facility located in Raquette Lake, NY. You'll attend 3 days of training working with fiber optic technicians discussing new products and demonstrating products being sold on the market today. These new products include OTDRs, fusion splicers and quick termination connectors just to name a few. This is your opportunity to take a break from the stressful work environment and focus on your future as a fiber optic professional.

The Future of Fiber Optics

A renowned fiber optics educator will lead an in-depth discussion about the future of fiber optics, and the direction in which datacom technology is heading. This is an opportunity for you and your colleagues to participate in discussions with some of the people who drive the growth of today's technology.

Quick Termination Connector Training

If you want connectorization done fast and done right, you'll want to learn about the newest quick termination connectors and procedures. This session includes hands-on-training with new connectors and featuring the newest FIS arrival "Bobtail" which utilizes a strong epoxy hold instead of mechanical crimp. These new connectors avoid the many steps and cure times involved with epoxy connectors.

Test Equipment 'Test Drive'

As technology evolves, so must the equipment that is used to test it. At this session, you will have the opportunity to review different brands of test equipment that FIS offers. You will then be equipped to make informed decisions regarding what types of products are best for you. Special attention will be given to FIS' new family of test equipment.

FIS is a Fiber Optics Resource

This is a short rap session during which you will learn about all the new things that FIS is doing to make your life easier and more productive. These include new initiatives in product support, troubleshooting, and information resources such as our new online Training Resource Center, which includes a searchable archive of Communicator articles and whitepapers.
